This Privacy Policy explains how Clariti Media Ventures Pvt. Ltd (“Clariti”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects digital personal data when you use our website https://www.clariti.tech and related services.

 

It is drafted to reflect the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025(together the “DPDP Law”), as notified by the Government of India.

Where the DPDP Law applies, Clariti acts as a Data Fiduciary and you are a Data Principal in relation to your personal data.

By using the Site or by giving us your personal data, you agree to the practices described here.

 

1. Scope and who this applies to

This Policy applies to:

- Visitors to clariti.tech

- People who submit forms, request demos or contact us

- Representatives of our customers and prospective customers whose business details we process

It does not cover our internal HR data or offline processes that are not digitised. Those are handled under separate internal policies.

 

This Policy focuses on digital personal data, which includes data originally collected digitally and data that is later digitised, as defined under the DPDP Law.

 

2. Key definitions

For simplicity:

- Personal data means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to that data.

- Data Principal means the individual to whom the personal data relates.

- Data Fiduciary means an entity that determines the purpose and means of processing personal data.

- Data Processor means an entity that processes personal data on behalf of a Data Fiduciary.

We are usually a Data Fiduciary for website and marketing data. For marketplace performance data, we may act as a Data Processor on behalf of our clients, depending on contract terms.

 

3. What personal data we collect

 

3.1 Data you provide directly

When you:

- Fill out contact or demo forms

- Subscribe to updates

- Communicate with us by email, phone or other channels

- Other metadata needed to run and optimise campaigns

This data is primarily processed under your contract with us and is usually business or product data. To the extent it includes personal data, we handle it under the DPDP Law and this Policy, or under your specific contract if that is stricter.

We do not use your marketplace data to build unrelated consumer profiles or to sell data to third parties.

4. Why we process your data and on what basis

Under the DPDP Law, processing must be for a lawful purpose and based on consent or on specific legitimate uses defined in the Act.

 

We process your data for the following reasons:

1. To run and secure the Site

  - Operating, monitoring and improving the website

  - Preventing fraud, abuse and security incidents

 

2. To respond to you

  - Handling demo or contact requests

  - Answering questions and providing support

  - Following up on business opportunities

 

3. To provide and improve our services

  - Onboarding andservicing clients

  - Analysing usage patterns to improve Clariti’s offerings

  - Training and tuning our internal analytics and AI models, where allowed

 

4. For marketing and communication

  - Sending product updates, invites and thought pieces to business contacts

  - Only where you have given consent or where the DPDP Law permits such business to business communication

 

5. For legal, compliance and risk management

  - Complying with Indian law, responding to lawful requests, maintaining records

  - Enforcing agreements and protecting our rights and those of others

 

We rely on:

- Your consent, where required

- Legitimate uses under the DPDP Law, such as processing necessary for service delivery, legal compliance, or enforcement of legal rights

- Our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable and useful service, where this does not override your rights

 

5. Consent and withdrawal

Where we rely on consent:

- We will provide a clear notice explaining what data we collect, for what purpose, and how you can withdraw consent, in language that is clear and plain as required under the DPDP Law.

- Consent will be free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, given by a clear affirmative action such as ticking a box or clicking a button.

 

You can withdraw consent at any time by:

- Using the unsubscribe link in an email, or

- Emailing us at support@clariti.tech with your request

 

Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out but we will stop the processing that relied on that consent, unless another lawful basis applies.

 

6. Your rights as a Data Principal

 

The DPDP Law gives Data Principals several rights over their personal data, such as:

 

1. Right to access information

  You can ask us to confirm if we are processing your personal data and request a summary of such data and key processing details.

 

2. Right to correction and erasure

  You can ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete personal data and to erase data that is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was processed, subject to legal retention obligations.

 

3. Right to withdraw consent

  Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent as explained above.

 

4. Right to grievance redressal

  You can raise a grievance with us and, if not satisfactorily resolved, you may escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the DPDP Law once fully operational.

 

5. Right to nominate

  You may be able to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity, in line with the DPDP Law and related rules.

We may need to ask for additional information to verify your identity before acting on your request. There may be legal or contractual limits to what we can delete or modify, but we will explain if we cannot fully comply.

 

7. Your duties as a Data Principal

 

Under the DPDP Law, Data Principals also have certain duties, including:

 

- Not impersonating another person while providing personal data

- Providing authentic and correct information

- Not suppressing material information when exercising rights such as correction or erasure

 

When you share information with Clariti, you are expected to follow these duties.

 

8. Children’s data

 

Our Site and services are designed for adults in a business context and are not directed at children under 18.

 

We do not knowingly process personal data of children. We do not offer services aimed specifically at children, nor do we knowingly conduct tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising to children, in line with the DPDP Law.

 

If you believe we have collected personal data of a child, contact us at support@clariti.tech and we will take appropriate steps to delete it or bring processing into compliance.

 

9. Cookies and analytics

 

We use cookies and similar technologies:

- To understand how visitors use the Site

10. Sharing and disclosure of personal data

 

We do not sell your personal data.

Our primary operations are in India, but some of our service providers may be located in other countries.

We will not transfer personal data to any country that the Government of India has expressly restricted for such transfers, except as allowed under the DPDP Law.

- Our data handling practices
